The Honeyed Times’ Collection: “'White Pet’ Rose in the Morning Light” 11’’ x 15’’
“'White Pet’ Rose in the Morning Light” illuminates a beguiling stem of a flowering ‘White Pet’ Roses in Mottisfont’s walled Rose Garden, against an enticing blurred garden background in the morning light.
Mottisfont Rose Garden was the first garden that I visited on a trip to England in 2018. I had been pouring over magazines and books of British gardens for at least a year prior to the trip, obsessing over the horticultural marvels that existed in the UK. I remember being able to smell the roses from outside the gardens walls. It was intoxicating. Upon entering the actual garden it was everything I had dreamed of and more. The morning light was exquisite and the roses were exploding across the garden.
This ‘White Pet’ rose, which was first introduced in 1879, caught my eye because of beauty of the underside of this rose, a unique perspective that is often overlooked when capturing a rose. I was inspired by the the dark pink bleeding up onto the outer petals as well as the elegant buds fanning outwards around this flower.
I hope that the uniqueness of this piece entices you to collect this elegant rose watercolour.

The Honeyed Times’ Collection: “Sunny “Général Schablikine” Tea Rose” 11’’ x 15’’
“Sunny “Général Schablikine” Tea Rose” depicts a central rose freshly unfurled and radiant that is catching the morning light on its layers of multi-toned petals. The rose is a ‘Général Schablikine’ rose from the walled Rose Garden at Mottisfont, a National Trust site.

The morning light was exquisite and the roses were exploding across the garden.
This ‘Général Schablikine’ rose, which was first introduced in 1878, caught my eye because of the radiant light catching the roses petals and its perfect shape, a specimen of its kind. Upon closer inspection I loved the deeper pink outer petals surrounding the ruffled bloom.
I hope that the radiance of this piece entices you to collect this candy-like rose watercolour.

Prints
“Diaphanous Lime Avenue" depicts an illuminated obelisk in a clearing between two guardian Tilia x europaea trees, recognized as common European lime trees.
This scene was placed along the aptly named Lime Avenue at Hinton Ampner, a National Trust site in Hampshire, England. I remember being enchanted by the romantic avenue of trees and as I approached the end, beyond the bushes, you could see a field of sheep basking in the summer shade across the neighbouring field.
I think that what stood out the most to me about this scene is that the focal obelisk of this painting that is showered in diaphanous light alludes to the sensation that Arthurian legends still breathe and there is something so magical about that sentiment to me that I wanted to paint it.
I hope that the lore of this painting inspires you to collect this legend worthy watercolour.

“Lush Green Pink Lake" captures Gatineau Park’s Pink Lake, in Québec, Canada. The lake is famous for its green colour in the summer, from the concentrations of algae in the water. Also its green is vivified from the reflections of the surrounding trees.
Walking the trail around Pink Lake on a gorgeous summer day an adventure. It was a deluge of abundance! I saw tadpoles, crayfish, flakes of mica minerals, waterlilies, and fantastic fungi. The lake itself was peaceful and vibrantly green.
I hope that the verdant lushness of this painting inspires you to collect this watercolour.
