Welcome to my studio!

I’m L.C. Cariou, a painter living in Calgary, Alberta where I paint refined detailed watercolours of plants and gardens.

I absolutely love horticulture and capture it in my artwork through painting every leaf and detail no matter how small.

My bold and detailed use of watercolour is non-conventional. It allows me to vividly illuminate the magnificent plants that I want to bring to life.
